The Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of PT. Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk. (TPI) and PT Chandra Asri (CA) have approved the merger plan of TPI and CA with TPI as the Surviving Company, which will be renamed PT. Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk. (CAP).
This Merger in line with objectives of having a more integrated petrochemical company in Indonesia, create a stronger company, better able to compete against major regional petrochemical players who are already integrated.
On 17-19 June 2010, Federasi Industri Kimia Indonesia (FIKI) in cooperation with Badan Kejuruan Kimia-Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia (BKK-PII) arranged several conferences event, business meetings, and international exhibition, named INACHEM 2010 (Indonesia International Chemical Exhibition and Chemical Engineering Conference 2010) at Jakarta Convention Center.
The event purpose were to create new ideas and cooperation, so that it will encourages the creation of business activities capacity development of national industry. INACHEM 2010 event were attended by approximately 133 companies from China, India, Indonesia, Italy and Singapore, Taiwan, Germany, Hong Kong, and several other countries.

Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk (Tri Polyta) participated in the INDOPLAS exhibition, which is held on 5 - 8 May 2010 at Hall A2, Jakarta International Expo (JI Expo), Kemayoran, Jakarta, with the theme "Our exhibition is not about technology. Our exhibition is about using technology to help your company do business more successfully".
The exhibition was organized by INAPLAS, Indonesia Olefin and Plastic Manufacturer Association in cooperation with the event organizer, WAKENI. The participants who are members of PETROCHEMICAL INAPLAS GROUP consists of 2 (two) upstream, 3 (three) midstream, and a downstream companies, with booth's theme "Petrochemical Go Green".
Fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) council has decided all PT. Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk (Tri Polyta) polypropylene products under “Trilene” brand have been certificated as “Halal”. The referral product certificate "Halal" was conducted on March 15, 2010 in the hall MUI, Jakarta. Halal Certificate was received by Mr. Dwi Budinoto, as Vice Halal Management and witnessed by the President Director of Tri Polyta, Mr. Iman Sucipto Umar.
PT. Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk. (Tri Polyta) is nominated as one of the big five of The Green Industry Award in Indonesia. Tri Polyta is one of the big companies that have implemented Environmental Management System, doing some activities of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and has several resources development programs.
And after going through the assessment process, Tri Polyta was awarded as third winner in Green Industry 2010 among the large company category. The award was held on Saturday, March 6, 2010, in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta. The event was organized by the Ministry of Industry with the theme "Pudar Citra Hijauku adalah Bencana Masa Depan Industriku".

As Indonesia largest Polypropylene (PP) manufacturer participated in the National Food Pasok Dunia "FEED THE WORLD" which is one of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce events.
